CHESTNUT AVAILABILITY:
Chestnuts in Australia are harvested from March to May and available from Premium Chestnuts Australia from March to June. Each variety has its own unique season.

CHESTNUT SAMPLES:
If you require samples it is best to order these VERY early in the season so that enough product of that particular variety will still be available when you wish to order.

Premium Chestnuts Australia Co-operative is committed to continuous quality improvement in chestnut production. To meet this objective members are continually reviewing the chestnut varieties they grow and production practices. The group has recently purchased a series of varieties that promise superb flavour, peeling and keeping attributes and are reworking existing orchards to ensure early availability of these chestnut varieties.

CHESTNUT GRADING AND PACKAGING
Premium Chestnuts Australia developed the seven size chestnut grading system to give seven uniform chestnut grade sizes. There is a 3mm size variation in the larger sizes and 4mm in the medium grade.

Premium Chestnut Grade sizes are:
Small	< 25mm
Medium	25mm - 29mm
Standard	29mm - 32mm
L1 [large]	32mm - 35mm
LL	35mm - 38mm
LLL	38mm - 41mm
LLLL	>41mm

Premium Chestnut Packaging:
The Premium Chestnuts of Australia co-operative members have their own chestnut grading and packaging facilities so that packaging can be easily tailored to suit the needs of the customer.
